CHILDREN CONTECTS COUNTRIES AND CITIES

 In organization of Slovenian Cultural Community of Nis region “France Preseren” in the hall of Cultural Centre Nis it was held QUIZ FOR CHILDREN Slovenian origin, members of Slovenian community in Serbia. Small participants and guest of association “France Preseren” from Nis, Subotica, Zrenjenin, Belgrade, Novi Sad and Vrsac, on the beginning of program welcomed Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly of the City Municipality of Palilula. He highlighted very good cooperation of members of Association with Palilula Municipality, emphasizing that is on this way opened space and for other forms of cooperation with Slovenia, especially on the plan of the culture and in the area of economy.

EQUESTRIAN TOURNAMENT IN JUMPING

 With support of City Municipality of Palilula in Gornje Medjurovo was held Second international equestrian tournament in jumping – “Cup St Petka 2010”. Boban Mikic, member of the Council of the City Municipality of Palilula welcomed guests of this years manifestation. “It is pleasure to participate in creation of already traditional manifestation that is organizing in the village in Gornje Medjurovo. We are grateful to equestrian club “Nonius” that their enthusiasm to promote on every way this sport but and own village Gornje Medjurovo. Village it is not only agriculture but also and National Handicraft, development of rural tourism but and manifestation that is promoting life in rural areas.

FIFTY YEARS OF EDUCATIONAL WORK WITH YOUNG PEOPLE

 With regard to mark 50th years successfully work of unit of the scouts “King Peter I” who are working on the territory of the City Municipality of Palilula, president of the Assembly, Milan Djurdjevic hosted a reception. In delegation were Momcilo Petkovic, Head of the Federation of Scouts Serbia and Dalibor Rakic, head of the unit of the scouts “King Peter I”. For fifty years of successful work of Unit of scouts “King Peter I” made significant contribution to the informal education of young people, through a system of values based on the Scout code of conduct, to building a better world in which the people exercise as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, PATENTS AND NEW PRODUCTS?

 “How to protect intellectual property – Basis of rights of intellectual property” – it was theme of the whole-day Seminary that is organized by City Municipality of Palilula in Cultural Centre in Nis in cooperation with Institute for the Protection of Intellectual Property Belgrade. And this activity is part of the development strategy of the City Municipality of Palilula, stressed president Prof dr. Igor Novakovic, in his introductory exposition to the participants of the seminary. “ We are with adoption of the Strategy of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship clearly defined our vision of development. That is why this type of education and informing of interested residents and entrepreneurs of our municipality, that is organized by Department of Economy and Local Development of Administration of City Municipality of Palilula, in the opinion of Professor Novakovic, part of the regular activities of local government in achieving the set of standards and goals.

RECOSTRUCTION OF CULTURAL CENTRE AND FOUNTAIN IN LALINAC

 On the occasion of competing of works on reconstruction of hall of Cultural Centre and setting of fountain in the village Lalinac, this settlement which is 10 km far from the Nis and have about 2000 residents, visited Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic, president of Municipality, Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly and Milos Stojkovic, member of the Council of the Municipality of Palilula. For this purpose planning of settlement in Lalinac City Municipality of Palilula from its budget allocated about 450 thousands of RSD.“This is great day for residents in our village. Finally with help of our Municipality of Palilula – says Dragoslav Milosavljevic, coordinator of group of citizens which leads initiative for planning of Lalinac, got a object for gathering of our youth, for meetings of citizens but and for organizing manifestation in culture and sports.

REGULATION OF MEMORIAL PARK “BUBANJ” THROUGH FUND
FOR FINANCING OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT

 Ministry for Public Administration and Local Government of Government of Republic of Serbia approved the funding to the City municipality of Palilula in Nis, the amount of 1.400.000 RSD, for realizing of second phase of the project of regulation of memorial park “Bubanj”. To the City Municipality of Palilula the second time is approved project and allocated money from fund that is forming exercise off assets of organizing games of chance and it is used for financing local government. Funds authorized for this purpose, according to president of City Municipality of Palilula Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic, will focus, with resources already provided from the Council of “Film Festival”, for making footpaths, reconstructions damaged concrete and stone surfaces on the memorial, reconstructions existing electrical lighting of amphitheater and other space of memorial complex “Bubanj”, setting playgrounds, benches, create ramp at the entrance to the park, setting container – trash.

REQUEST OF TWO MUNICIPALITIES TO EPS

 Assemblies of Nis City municipalities Pantelej and Palilula, whose residents owe to the Electric Power of Serbia more then 2,3 billion of RSD, launched initiative to write off interest for electricity. Argument for such a proposal, which was sent to the Government of Serbia, EPS and Ministry of Mining and Energy not only as it concerns the two poorest Nis municipalities but and because it is about local governments that the amount of income of citizens from their area are among the 10 poorest municipalities in Serbia, conveyed by correspondent of Blic from Nis . Interest are higher then basic debt for electricity – Many citizens speak to us every day with requests for financial help to pay the bills for electricity.

IN RASADNIK “WITH KNOWLEDGE TO THE HEALTH”

 Fourth promotion of campaign “With knowledge to the health”, that is Preventive Center of Health Center in Nis organizing in cooperation with CM of Palilula it is held in local office “Rasadnik|”. Educational program “Education of women about breast self-examination”, traditionally has sparked interests of women, mostly of elderly population. Team of doctors of Preventive Center of Health Center organized a lecture, and then projection of film, exercise on the medical model, distribution of educational material. Action will continue in November 3rd in MK Bubanj; November 6th MK Gavrilo Princip ( in the office of school King Peter First); Local office Djuka Dinic by the program is November 10th; MK Milka Protic, November 17th (in the office of infirmary); MK Ledena Stena, November 24th (in the office of elementary school Bubanjski heroji).

 With cooperation of Ministry of Youth and Sports of Government of Republic of Serbia, association of citizens “Youth Educational Centre” Nis in partnership with Assembly of City of Nis and City Municipality of Palilula – Office for youth were organized public debate “Knowledge against drugs – step out and do not close your eyes!” About consequences of drug leaving, both consumers and their families and their environment, spoke Dr Nebojsa Krstic, Vice president of Assembly of City of Nis, Dr Albina Stanojevic, director of Special Psychiatric Hospital – Gornja Toponica, Bratislav Timotijevic, inspector in Secretariat of Internal Affairs in Nis and Dr Dragan Vukadinovic, psychiatrist.

OLD CEMETERY – MEMORIAL PARK

 Members of Assembly of City Municipality of Palilula, on nineteen meeting which is held in the hall of Cultural Centre of Nis, passed unanimously decision about starting up initiative that space of Old cemetery “Gorica” turn in memorial park. On this meeting, chaired by Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly, it is given positive opinion on the Plan of detailed regulation of the street “Djordja Ljubinkovica” in the settlement Delijksi Vis and opinion on the amendment PDR of settlement “9 Maj” for the street “Dobrodolska”.
Vesna Jovanovic – Jankovic, secretary of the Assembly of City Municipality of Palilula in the explanation of initiative to transmute Old cemetery in Memorial park highlighted that this action must make in the way that will memory on citizens who on this place rest must be kept.

HELATH CARE OF WOMEN

 Within camping “With health to the health” in the office of Local Office “Palilula” it was given a third lecture from cycle “Education of women about breast self-examination” that organized Preventive Center of Health Center in Nis in cooperation with CM of Palilula. Organizers of this important activity visited Vesna Jovanovic-Jankovic, secretary of Assembly and Slavoljub Savic, Head of Municipal Administration Associate, of City Municipality of Palilula. Lecture of importance of medical control, to the interested women of the settlement MK “ Palilula”, gave doctor Svetlana Kostic from Preventive Center of Health Center in Nis. Program “Education of women about breast self-examination”, beside lecture-presentation that is for this purpose prepared Physician Dr Nevena Simovic and Dr Svetlana Kostic, includes and projection of film, exercise of medical model and distribution of educational material.

CHOIR “GLINKA” 15th OF OCTOBER IN NIS

 Choir of State academic chapel “Glinka” from Sankt Peterburg will perform 15th of October in the Cathedral in Nis in at 8 pm, said Church – singing clique “Branko” from Nis. Choir “Glinka” is established in year 1479 and on the repertoire has more then 250 opuses including and “Divine liturgy of John Chrysostom” composed by Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac. This is second appearance of Russian choir in Nis. First time “Glinka” appeared in the year of 2007, with occasion of making of 120 years existence and work of Church-singing clique “Branko” in Nis. On the program that will be performed by this occasion include and “Liturgy of John Chrysostom” on Roma language, composed by Zoran Mulic from Novi Sad. City of Nis is in “Decade of Roma” third city in the world where it will be performed this program.

SIMULTANEOUS IN CHESS AND “TREE OF GENERATION” FOR DAY OF THE SCHOOL

 With occasion of Day of the school “Sreten Mladenovic Mika” in Nis, within CHILDRENS WEEK, which is celebrate in Serbia from 4th to the 10th of October under the motto “Stop the world, at least for the moment, that children find safe corner!”, in this educational institution it was held simultaneous game of chess. With students, parents and teachers of the school, ancient game, that originates from India, played Igor Miladinovic, ex youth world champion in chess and according to rating list of FIDA from 2008, and one of ten the best Serbian players of chess. Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly of City Municipality of Palilula welcomed to the participants of this manifestation who in the continue of the visit to the school, with students planted “Tree of generation” in the school yard.

MEETINGS OF FRIENDSHIP HAS HELD

 Traditional manifestation of culture “Meetings of Friendship Joy of Europe 2010” was held in Nis in the hall of Saint Sava home. Organizer of fourth Meeting of children, which marked “Childish week in Nis”, was Church-dancing ensemble “Branko” with support of City Municipality of Palilula. In the name of supporter, small artist has welcomed by Zorica Stoiljkovic, member of Council of Palilula Municipality: “ It is known that school trains and educates. This manifestation expanding contacts of our children, enrich them spiritually and makes them to be human beings. Our great poet for children Dusko Radovic wrote book about friendship and fifteen the most beautiful words about children. Let them adorn our gathering tonight. Let make an effort that this Meetings of friendship of children in Nis become tradition that will change by activities, by number and our actions – stressed Zorica Stoiljkovic.

EDUCATION OF WOMEN ABOUT BREAST SELF-EXAMINATION

 From tonight, starting at 8 pm until Saturday, September 11, 2010 at midnight, in the Street Vojvoda Gojko, in Palilula ramp, it will be held “DAYS OF BUREK”. Organizer of seventh burekdzijada is Union of bakery of Nis in cooperation with City Municipality of Palilula, Tourism organization of Nis, with support of City of Nis, city municipalities, Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry and Ministry of Economy and Regional Development. “It is a plan that every year “Days of burek” be better and bigger manifestation. This year we will have 12 participants, and gests from Macedonia, Greece and Bulgaria, and from distant China. Bakers will try break Guinness record for biggest burek – says Bratislav Vukadinovic, president of Union of bakery of Nis and ads, “bakers plans that size of burek for Guinness be two time four meters, and innovation of this year burekdzijada is burek from fish.

FOR BETTER LIFE OF SOCIALLY VULNERABLE GROUPS

 Socially vulnerable, old and infirm persons, disabled and elderly that are immobile and that depends of other people` help, older residents of rural settlements of Palilula Municipality, next year will not have to visit counters in order to exercise their rights, but they will be able to get help on the doorstep. Thanks to the European Union, that is within first call, approved project from program EXCHANGE 3 to the City Municipality of Palilula in Nis, expected significantly improve of quality of life of socially vulnerable groups – it was highlighted on press conference.Partner to the Palilula Municipality in the realization of the project “Strengthening of municipal capacity to improve the lives of socially vulnerable groups”, worth 113 thousands euros, will be Bulgarian Municipality Kustendil, and also other interested institutions and organization. Implementation of the project has begun by singing of the contract late last month in Belgrade, in organization of Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities.

SUCCESSFUL PROMOTION OF SLOVENIAN CULTURAL COMMUNITY

 Slovenian cultural community “France Presern”, that works in Nisava district, organized in the hall of Cultural Center of Nis concert of Slovenian songs performed by Hunting singing choir from Medvoda near Ljubljana in Slovenia. To this interesting event in culture attended many guests, members of Slovenian community in Nis, representatives of City Municipality of Palilula. By the words of Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate of Palilula Municipality, this event but and other contents supports Palilula Municipality and City of Nis in the aim of achieve good cooperation in the area of economic and culture with Republic of Slovenia. Hunting choir from Medvode in Ljubljana, is male choir, which successfully perform more then 34 years achieving performances in various places in Slovenia but at times and in other European countries.
